I'm 4!
Well our boy is 4 years old. A baby no more. He is a big boy and thoughts of him as a baby are such a faint memory. Where oh where does the time go. We had lots of fun...a party with balloons and streamers and a chocolate Thomas Cake and then the next day we went to the zoo. We had a good time together as a family and as a mom it is a bit sad to know my baby is gone. But we embrace the changes, the learning and the growing. He is so smart and sweet and we are proud to call him our son.

A great visit.
Well we were blessed to see the Tylers this past week. It has been almost 3 years and needless to say the boys have grown. Eli is a little boy and not the baby I remember. We did alot of sightseeing and due to a weather issue their flight was delayed by 3 days...which for me was a real treat! We miss them already and hope to see them again real soon.
Then....

and now...

Grandma came to visit. We had a wonderful time. The week went fast and we are missing her already. These grandbabies are growing up so fast and each moment we have together is so precious. We made a trip into San Antonio and Jonah really loved "the city". What's there not to love, trolly cars, buses, cars and really tall buildings. We hope to be together again real soon.

Jessi Ann is 8 months old today...hard to believe how fast she is growing up. She is crawling...backwards...sits up and plays with her toys...watches Jonah like a hawk...loves to laugh...has 4 teeth and 4 more coming...is eating lots of food and is getting lots of hair (not that you can tell in the hippie hat). Oh and she has a boyfriend. A wee little irishman down the block who is the son of our sweet friends Dee and David...his name is Liam and he sent Jessi a valentiens day card. Will keep our eye on him...:) Anyway, we are so happy to have her and it is hard it imagine life before she was here. Jonah loves her like a big brother should and always wants to be with her. What an absolute joy...

The Beach
The Jaffuels got to go see the ocean, finally. We had a blast! The weather held out and we had some real good family time. Jonah and Mitch got much needed quality time as well as Mitch got to just hang out with his daughter. We missed the smell and sound of the water and we will for sure go back. It was a real blessing!

I do believe it is Jonah's mission in life to make his sister laugh...and she loves to laugh at her big brother. I pray they remain forever as they are right now.

First Words...
Well Jonah has begun his adventure into the world of reading. He has been very interested in letters and there sounds and so we decided to start walking down that road. These are the first words that he read by himself...he seems to have gotten the concept and was very very excited to get it right. It is hard to believe and it seems just so grown up. It is so fun to see him learn and grow and well a bit sad that our baby is gone. But in the end it is so wonderful to see his joy. Wow! Where have the past 3 1/2 years gone.

Merry Christmas everyone. We had a great time this year celebrating the birth of our Savior. Jonah was aware that it was Jesus birthday and kept reminding me...he was also very aware that he would be opening presents and kept reminding us of that too. We were up at the crack of dawn and the fun began. Jonah had a real good time and Jessi was just in awe of all the entertainment. Then we got to relax and thankfully Mitch had a few days off. So we just hung out as a family and didn't do much of anything...it was perfect! A Blessed New Year to All!!

Yum Yum...we got to sit in the high chair and have our first real food. It went pretty well for a first try. Jessi seems to like being up with all of us and she sits pretty good. We have her propped a bit but she is getting the hang of it. She is just growing up way to fast and we just can't seem to slow time down...

Grandma and grandpa were here and boy did we have fun. It was such a joy having them here. The time flew and we miss them already. Jonah was in heaven & Jessi was her usual happy self. Come back...come back..

Jessi Ann...she is growing up so fast. (4 months old already) We are so blessed to have this angel in our lives. She is happy and smiling all the time and has just been a love with grandma and grandpa visiting. She brightens even the darkest day and we just don't know what we did to deserve such a bright light. Words just cannot describe how thankful we are.
