Well as you can see our little girl has arrived. Thank-you to Heather for posting some pic's for all of you. Her arrival was quite, well, eventful. She was not prepared to come quitely. Labor progressed pretty well. But once Mitch and I arrived at the hospital things went fast. My water broke after about 2 hours and the contractions came on very very fast. Within 1/2 hr. I went from 6 cm to 10 cm and ready to push. The doctor arrived just as it felt as though she was going to be birthed and we were told that her face was facing up with her chin back and they needed to do an emergency C-Section. This started a frenzy of activity that we do not wish to relive. Baby Jessi however was coming no matter what and by the time they got me to the O.R. and all numbed the doctor realized that a C-Section was not going to happen...and she was born. They managed to whisk Mitch in at the last minute and our little girl arrived in the world. She was not breathing at first and it was quite scary...but after just a few seconds (5 to be exact...Mitch counted) she was fine. Her little face was bruised and beat up but she was just fine. It was probably the longest 20 minutes of our lives. We are just thankful and grateful that she is healthy and all is well. We were quite emotional to say the least and are still feeling the affects of it all. But here she is...a blessing to the Jaffuel house. Mitch and I appreciate all the prayers that came our way...thank-you all!!! God truly gave us a little miracle.
