The chunkiest baby in the world.....
Well our little one got weighed yesterday and the result was 12lb 13 oz. She is way above the average...she was actually off the chart. We just love it...so squeezable. This girl certainly is not fragile and is getting ready to keep up with her big brother. We of course know that all will change as she grows and walks but right now it's o.k. to be fat so we are enjoying it!
I'm such a proud mama....

1 Month Old
Well our little girl is already 1 month old...and not so little anymore. She is out of all of her newborn clothes and is fitting easily into 3-6 month outfits. She is one chunky monkey. She eats very well as you can see and it is hard to believe that a whole month has gone by already. Her personality is coming out as she is more alert and awake. It is exciting to anticipate what will come next but of course we want to savor every little moment we have. When I think of Jonah at this age I can't even remember what it was like. I know the time will fly by. She is getting lots of love and we pray that we are doing a good job in God's eyes. Thank-you all for your love, support and prayers.

Well we are all doing well adjusting to life with 2 children. Jessi is growing so fast...she has fat rolls already...gotta love it. Jonah is great with his sister, he always wants to take care of any poopie diaper...and loves patting her head. He likes to shake her toys for her and just loves looking at her. She makes so much noise...lots of grunting and moves quite a bit...I almost thought she was going to roll over. Uh oh! So here are some more pic's from the proud mama....

Some more Jessi Ann....
Well Jessi is 8 days old and is doing just great. Her face has healed well from her rough delievery...just a couple of lingering cuts on her eyelids which are just about gone. She is a doll and we couldn't be any happier. She is such a wonderful addition to our family and we can't imagine life without her. Enjoy!

Jessi Ann Jaffuel...the story.
Well as you can see our little girl has arrived. Thank-you to Heather for posting some pic's for all of you. Her arrival was quite, well, eventful. She was not prepared to come quitely. Labor progressed pretty well. But once Mitch and I arrived at the hospital things went fast. My water broke after about 2 hours and the contractions came on very very fast. Within 1/2 hr. I went from 6 cm to 10 cm and ready to push. The doctor arrived just as it felt as though she was going to be birthed and we were told that her face was facing up with her chin back and they needed to do an emergency C-Section. This started a frenzy of activity that we do not wish to relive. Baby Jessi however was coming no matter what and by the time they got me to the O.R. and all numbed the doctor realized that a C-Section was not going to happen...and she was born. They managed to whisk Mitch in at the last minute and our little girl arrived in the world. She was not breathing at first and it was quite scary...but after just a few seconds (5 to be exact...Mitch counted) she was fine. Her little face was bruised and beat up but she was just fine. It was probably the longest 20 minutes of our lives. We are just thankful and grateful that she is healthy and all is well. We were quite emotional to say the least and are still feeling the affects of it all. But here she is...a blessing to the Jaffuel house. Mitch and I appreciate all the prayers that came our way...thank-you all!!! God truly gave us a little miracle.
